These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WinVault mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by WinVault ("we", "us", or "our"). WinVault is a board-game tracking Service: you can create game boards, log sessions with scores and winners, view stats, and connect with friends. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use WinVault. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent. You may not use the Service if you are barred under applicable law.

2. Your account

You may create an account with email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Discord. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized use. Usernames and display names must not impersonate others or violate third-party rights. Your public tag may include your username and a numeric id.

3. Acceptable use

Zero tolerance: We do not tolerate objectionable content, harassment, hate speech, threats, or abusive users. Accounts that violate this policy may be suspended or terminated without prior notice.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harassing, or abusive purposes
• Post or share objectionable, offensive, or illegal user-generated content
• Enter false session data to manipulate leaderboards or harass other users
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated means to create accounts or send requests without permission

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. User content

You retain ownership of game names, descriptions, session logs, guest names you enter, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and process User Content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You represent that you have the right to submit User Content (including guest names you enter) and that it does not infringe others' rights. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Reporting and blocking. Users can report objectionable content or abusive users and block other users from within the app. We review reports and aim to remove violating content and/or eject abusive users within 24 hours of receiving a report. Contact [email protected] for urgent cases.

5. Free tier and subscriptions

WinVault offers a free tier with limits (currently two board games unless changed in the app; friends are unlimited) and a paid WinVault subscription for higher limits. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and processed via RevenueCat. They are subject to those platforms' payment terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your app store account settings. Refunds follow the applicable store's policies.

We may change pricing, features, or free-tier limits with reasonable notice. We store an active/inactive entitlement flag on your account to enforce limits; we do not store your payment card details.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including the WinVault name, logo, mascots, software, and design, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or brand assets except as needed to use the Service.

7. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties including Supabase (authentication and related backend services), Sign in with Apple and Discord (optional sign-in), RevenueCat and Apple/Google (subscriptions), and push notification providers. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Statistics and rankings are for entertainment and personal tracking only.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WINVAULT AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under mandatory Danish or EU consumer law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WinVault and its officers, directors, and employees from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms or for operational reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases; provisions that by nature should survive (for example disclaimers and liability limits) will survive.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country apply. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark, unless you are an EU consumer entitled to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email when practical. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
